Krones.shop is celebrating its birthday

Dear customer,

2019 is a very special year for us – and here is the reason why: Exactly 5 years ago, in November 2014, we started up our online shop to equip ourselves for the digital future. From this time onward it also became possible to query and order spare parts and services online. And one thing has become apparent: A great deal has changed over the last 5 years – from the product range to the design. Many things would certainly not have been possible without your support and loyalty and for this we would like to express our sincere thanks.

 

5 years of Krones.shop - a brief journey through time

Travel with us through time and look back on a few of the most significant milestones. We have achieved a great deal with you over the last 5 years. And it goes without saying that we are looking forward to providing you with many more new services and promotions in Krones.shop.

2014: Spare parts now also available for purchase online

We were very excited about the upcoming launch of Krones.shop and we were ready to go live in November 2014, just in time for the BrauBeviale. The Krones online platform started off with around 600,000 spare parts. Helpful applications and personalised services such as Krones eCat online or customer-specific prices were already included.  
 

2015: Krones.shop becomes international 

After its successful start in Germany, Krones.shop was already released for additional countries and customers within Europe in 2015. Many European customers now had access to an online platform with a personalised cross reference to their machinery and the corresponding parts lists. Thanks to our integrated authorisation concept it was possible to immediately create a range of access levels matched to different company structures.  
 

2016: Additional product ranges from Krones subsidiaries online

In addition to Academy training courses and spare parts, it was also possible to order product ranges from Krones subsidiaries online. Thus, it was possible to request used machines through our ecomac market space and advertise one’s own machinery for sale, or order valves and pumps directly from Evoguard. An additional feature: Our online platform was now also available in other continents, such as China. With the implementation of an order history, it was now possible to call up an overview of all of one’s orders and quotations in My Account.
 

2017: Over 3,500,000 spare parts available to order online

Now with over 3.5 million spare parts and on 4 continents, the Krones online platform had grown continuously. And Krones.shop was no longer used just for spare parts orders, but also for services such as personal upgrade recommendations which it was possible to request based on the machinery. It was now possible to create and share a list of items a customer wished to purchase with shopping lists
 

2018: Online shop in a new design

This was the year in which we gave our shop a facelift! Some functions and services were also revised and optimised. A further milestone: For the first time ever, customers were able to request a personalised stock-keeping package, online and completely free of charge. The subject of new machines was also afforded its own space in Krones.shop: Using configurators (e.g. Contiflow), it was possible to configure selected machine types to suit individual needs and query them online.
 

2019: We are celebrating our birthday and looking forward to more shop enhancements and services

Believe it or not, but with just short of 5,000,000 spare parts, the Krones online shop is now available in over 120 countries. This year, too, we have once again integrated new online services such as substitution lists or support contracts in our platform. It goes without saying that we will also continue to work full speed ahead to make our online shopping experience even more pleasant for our customer, and to provide helpful services. We look forward to even more exciting years!
