Therefore, Krones conducts its business in accordance with the applicable legal regulations for the protection of personal data and data security. In the following, we will inform you which information Krones may collect, how such information is handled by Krones and to whom it may be made available if need be.

Krones does not collect any personal data (such as names, addresses, telephone numbers or e-mail addresses) through its website unless you voluntarily provide such data (for example by completing contact forms, registration, participation in surveys), have given your consent or the legal regulations on the protection of your data permit this.

3. Purpose

In general, Krones will process the personal data you provide for the purpose of answering queries, processing orders or giving you access to certain information or offers. To maintain customer relations, it may also be necessary

  • that Krones processes you personal data and transfers these to worldwide Krones subsidiaries to as to be able to better address your requests or improve services, or
  • that Krones (or a third party on behalf of Krones) processes these personal data to inform you about Krones offers useful for your business or to conduct online surveys to better do justice to the needs and requirements of Krones customers.

It goes without saying that Krones will respect any decision not to provide personal data to enhance customer relations (especially for direct marketing or for market research purposes). We will neither sell your personal data to third parties nor exploit them in any other manner with the exception of passing them on to other companies of the Krones Group.

4. Use for a specific purpose

Krones will process the personal data you provide only for the purposes you have been informed of, except when processing

  • is necessary for the preparation, negotiation and performance of a contract with you,

When you access the Krones website through telecommunication services, communication-related information (e.g. the IP address) or use-related information (e.g. information on the start and duration of access and the telecommunication services you use) will automatically be generated by technical means. This may make it possible to identify you as a person. Where processing of your communication or use-related information is mandatory, such processing will be subject to the laws on data protection.

6. Non-personal information collected automatically

When you access the Krones website, information may occasionally be collected automatically (i.e. not through registration) which is not allocated to a certain person (such as the Internet browser and operating system used, the domain name of the website from which you accessed, number of visits, average duration; websites called up). Krones and its worldwide subsidiaries use such information to determine the appeal of the Krones websites and to improve their efficiency and contents.

7. "Cookies" – information automatically placed on your computer

When you visit a Krones website, it is possible that Krones will place information in the form of a “cookie” on your computer which will recognise it automatically when you next visit. Cookies enable Krones, for example, to adjust website contents to your interests or to store your password so that you need not enter it anew every time. 8. Duration of storage; retention periods

You can also pay Krones through Paypal. If you do, you will be guided directly to Paypal whenever an order is completed. There, you can log in and make payment. 11. Web tracking

For purposes of marketing and optimisation, products and services of Wiredminds GmbH, 70176 Stuttgart, are used on this website. These services include the processing of data from which user profiles are created using a pseudonym. Where possible and appropriate, the user profiles will be anonymised in their entirety. Cookies may be used for this purpose. Cookies are small text files which are stored in the Internet browser of visitors and have the purpose of recognising said Internet browser. The data collected (which may also include personal data) are transmitted to Wiredminds or collected directly. Krones AG is permitted to use information left when websites are visited to create anonymised user profiles. The data thus obtained will not be used without the separate consent of the data subject to identify the user of the website in person and will not be combined with personal data about the individual behind the pseudonym. Where IP addresses are collected, these will be anonymised immediately after collection by erasure of the last block of numbers.
